Remember when people used to ask you, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” For many, the answers came easily: a teacher, a firefighter, a nurse, a business owner. And sometimes, the answers were delightfully bold—like my little brother Blayne, who, when graduating from preschool, proudly declared he wanted to be Batman. 🦇

And just for the record… I’ve never seen my brother and Batman in the same room. 😉

But inspiration doesn’t only live in childhood dreams—it grows in the choices we make as adults, too. I’m deeply inspired by my sister, who once found herself in an environment where people didn’t support her dreams. Instead of shrinking, she made a bold choice: she found a place where she was supported, where her God-given calling could grow. She’s walking that path today with courage and faith, and watching her say “yes” to God has been a reminder that the right environment can unlock the calling He’s placed inside you.

And here’s the truth: it’s never too late. It doesn’t matter how young you are or how old. If you have a calling from God, follow it. Age isn’t a barrier in the Kingdom—obedience is the key (Romans 11:29, New International Version).

Somewhere along the way, the world often starts whispering doubts:

“That’s not realistic.”

“You can’t make money doing that.”

“Why don’t you pick something safer?”

Those voices can get loud. But there’s a louder one if you listen carefully—the still, steady voice of God calling you toward your purpose (John 10:27, NIV).

The truth is, you really can be whoever God created you to be. Your dreams aren’t random—they’re planted in your heart for a reason. And when you align your vision with His will, find the right community, and surround yourself with people who love and support you, there’s no limit to what He can do through you.

This is the heartbeat of The Launch Dock: to highlight real people who heard a calling from God and built businesses that reflect that purpose. These aren’t just entrepreneurs; they’re people who trusted the vision God gave them, often in the face of doubt, fear, or resistance.
